poem of the weekend

As we lay on the warm wood,
Broken planks,
Mosquito bites swelled our skin,
Your soft touch and baby skin
Eased my nerves
The city lit our backdrop,
As we drifted off to the angels,
Sinless kisses,
Our lips purged,
Seized two bodies,
Intertwined in a summer’s night.
